DIY Christmas Votive Holders
Want to give these votive holders an entirely unique look this holiday season? Simply experiment with different paint colors or ribbon around their top. Create something entirely unique that matches your holiday decor whether red and white is what calls to mind or blue and silver are more your cup of tea – whatever works! I recommend battery-powered tea lights as a lighting solution.

How to Create Christmas Luminaries::
Download cut files in Christmas shapes and upload them to your craft cutter. Resize images according to mason jar fronts, cut shapes from any color vinyl (they will serve as masks later), cut out shapes in layers from scrap vinyl sheets if necessary and weed away excess vinyl strips before adhering them on mason jars fronts. Weed away any excess vinyl from cutting.
Stick vinyl shapes onto clean pint-size mason jars and press firmly. Apply one coat of paint over the entire surface – allow to dry completely – then attach vinyl shapes with tape.
Next, apply another layer of paint. While not necessary with all types of paints, I needed two with glass paint I used. Allow to dry before cutting vinyl around its perimeter with a craft knife and peeling back. Additionally, this can also help scrape away any excess paint that may have seeped underneath vinyl.
Add ribbon around the top using a hot glue gun, sprinkle fake snow into each jar, and finally drop in a battery-operated tea light for extra shine!

As soon as this holiday season arrives, you will enjoy beautiful DIY Christmas mason jars for your home decor! Plus, their ease of creation could lead to even more! Make them as gifts this season too.
