Making painted fall mason jars quickly and easily will add farmhouse style decor. I love all things mason jar and burlap, making this craft idea ideal for fall dinner parties or Thanksgiving.
Mason Jars Spell Fall These painted mason jars spell “FALL”, but you could use different wording on this design too – for instance jars spelling “THANKS” would make great additions to a Thanksgiving table display or switch up their colors and spell “JOY” as part of a Christmas display! Once you master this technique, you’ll soon be creating painted jars to display at every holiday!
Don’t forget to keep those canning lids from your mason jar crafts to make these adorable mason jar lid pumpkins this fall!
How to Create Fall Mason Jars: Begin by painting your jars with chalk paint. Make sure they are clean and dry – I prefer cleaning mine with rubbing alcohol before painting them!
Once complete, set the jars aside and allow the paint to dry completely before placing back in their original position.
Cut your burlap ribbon into 11 1/2-inch long strips. Utilise black paint and layer stencils (for better coverage) to stencil letters onto each strip with black paint. NOTE: I used layer stencils that required me to do each one twice; regular stencils may work just as well – let your burlap pieces dry thoroughly first!
Once everything is dry, wrap a burlap piece around each of your four jars and secure in the back using some hot glue – repeat for all four jars – adding in fall floral arrangements as a finishing touch to complete your display.
These fall mason jars are perfect for adding farmhouse flair to any room! Display them across your farmhouse home!
